Connecting Representations is an instructional routine that positions students to think structurally as they connect two representations by articulating the underlying mathematics. An essential goal of this routine is expanding students’ repertoire of structural noticings, math practice 7.

We’ve provided a word copy of the planner so that you may download and print it, or type right into it. The powerpoint slides may be customized for a specific task by inserting images and refining the prompts. And, finally, we’ll continue to update the tasks section, and hope you’ll comment on your own experiences with them, and upload artifacts from your classroom.
