Turn to the Class engages all students in processing a student-driven idea or question, such as when a classmate states the main idea of the lesson or asks a critical question. Teachers integrate the student’s idea or question into a turn and talk, provide a sentence frame to launch students’ discourse, and prompt every student in the class to engage in partnerships.
